Join Us In The Future Of Animal Rescue

Mazie’s Mission was founded upon the ideals of collaborating with other non-profits to provide low-cost veterinary care to homeless animals. Our goal is to save and improve needy animal’s lives along with eliminating unnecessary euthanasia.

Timeline of The Mission

September 2009: Mazie’s Mission is founded by Dr. Erin Shults

April 2010: First animal destined for euthanasia pulled into the Mazie’s rescue program

January 2014: The first ever RESCUE-ONLY veterinary hospital opens its doors in Frisco, Texas

March 2019: Hospital moves to a much larger facility in Carrollton, Texas

Mid-to-late 2021(?): Purchase of land for permanent residence of veterinary hospital, adoption center, training facility and forensic lab

Summer 2024(?): Full development of Mazie’s Mission property

Number of Patient Visits

The graph above shows that the veterinary hospital has grown steadily for the last 6 years. Our goal is to at least double these numbers in the next 3 years and help save even more animals.

How We Are Different

We have always believed that by collaborating with like-minded individuals and organizations, more animals can be saved. not only will this blend of much needed resources be available to all the animals in our rescue program, they will be easily accessible to our rescue partners where they can obtain veterinary care and training resources on the property.

Of course our first milestone is property. The ideal space would be ~6 acres and within the boundaries of HWY 121 to the North, HWY 635 to the South, I-35 to the West and I-75 to the East. It is imperative we have this property accessible to the public, not only for the veterinary hospital, but also for adoptions.

We are asking anyone with any resource to help us with this endeavor to contact Dr. Shults at drshults@maziesmission.org.
