Mazie’s Mission is seeking talented humans to join our extremely unique animal hospital exclusively serving the homeless animals of our community. All our patients are affiliated with a rescue or municipal shelter. Imagine being able to use your skills in a supportive, fun environment where medically unnecessary euthanasia does not exist.

We are the first rescue-only veterinary hospital and have proven it is profitable and vital to the community. We gross more than $1M annually (even though we are low cost) and are extremely trusted all over Texas. We believe in work/life balance and also believe your job should be fulfilling but not draining. We are located in North Texas near Frisco and McKinney, two towns that are extremely family oriented. We are also close to Dallas, which has wonderful nightlife and museums.

 

Veterinary Technician’s Assistant

at least one year of hospital experience Prefered

Work-life balance is very important to us, so we offer four day work weeks. You heard that right. Four day work weeks and NO WEEKEND DUTY!

Shelter experience is a plus. You must be comfortable handling all sizes and breeds of dogs and cats as well as working with fearful animals.

Duties include, but are not limited to the following: 

  • Assisting Technicians and Veterinarians performing x-rays, bloodwork, fecal exams, urinalysis in house

  • Care of hospitalized patients

  • General cleaning of facility

  • Communication with fosters/director of rescue group
