Newest Addition to Mazie’s Mission…Meet Magnus

If you have been following us on Facebook and Twitter this past week, you have seen the updates about Magnus.  Magnus’ story is sad, but not terribly uncommon.  He was picked up by Mesquite Animal Shelter after being hit by a car.  A plea was sent to Mazie’s Mission to come help this sweet and handsome boy.  Magnus is an adorable 8 month old Giant Schnauzer mix, and everyone who meets him falls in love.  Posts were done, foster requests sent out, and the Mazie’s Mission community pulled together to find a foster fast to get this boy the care he needs.  When he arrived at Mazie’s Mission’s Clinic, it was obvious he was in pain.  His freedom ride photo was one of the saddest we have ever seen. His x-rays came back that he would need surgery on both his hips, plus he had a de-gloved tail.  The damage to his hips was severe enough he would need a specialist.  That’s when we had to reach out to our supporters and ask for help.  We really do have the best supporters around and we were able to raise the $2000 for his surgery.  Magnus is now healing with his foster, and getting all the TLC he needs.  Keep an eye out for updates on our website, newsletters, and Facebook about Magnus!
