Build A Rescue Clinic Wrap Up

This year’s BARC Gala (Build A Rescue Clinic) was a success.  A night of friends, recognizing our amazing partners, live and silent auctions, dancing, dinner and fun; we couldn’t have asked for a better night for Mazie’s Mission. As we prepare for the year ahead, we think it’s important to recognize our triumphs of the past year.

11666029_905504579502798_3798085369635599154_n Cajun, by far, far is one of our most memorable rescues.  Her story has been seen by thousands.  Who could forget the amazing dog who took in 8 orphans after losing her own. Take a look at her original blog “A Mother Who Loses Everything Teaches Us A Lesson” on our Mazie’s Mission Rescue Clinic Blog Site.  Then take a moment to hear it through the words of those closest to her rescue on this year’s Gala video. With the amazing story behind us, we now look forward as she finally settles into her new forever home.  She is as happy has can be with her new family and we patiently (as patiently as a group of rescuers can be) await for updates and photos of her settling in.

Along with the great stories we also have had some reached important milestones along the way.  Our clinic has now been open for over a year. We have 91 active rescue partners, have completed over 800 spays/neuters (and counting), have done 189 successful heartworm treatments, and have seen close to 2000 patients.  A successful year and even more to come.

Of course we couldn’t do what we do without this our amazing rescue partners.  This years honoree was, none other, Dallas Pets Alive.  Through their partnership with us we have been able to help decrease the population through spay and neuter and treat animals who wouldn’t have been able to be saved without our services available.  Their dedication to the animals of Dallas is a true inspiration.  Check out their Facebook page and website for more information about all their accomplishments.

We would like to thank all our volunteers, supporters, donors, and all who made this year’s BARC Gala possible.  A special thanks to our BARC Gala sponsors listed below.  Now keep an eye out for more ways to help Mazie’s Mission and how to become part of our team.  Were you not able to attend this year’s BARC Gala?
