We are excited to announce that Mazie’s Mission has received a $5000 grant from the Doris Day Animal Foundation. These funds will support our growing Shelter Outreach and Support (S.O.S.) program that pulls desperate animals directly from the euthanasia list.
The S.O.S. program has quickly caught on in the community as another way for Mazie’s Mission to help ensure animals with treatable illnesses and injuries are not immediately euthanized at our local shelters. We have several partners that have enrolled in the program and we are receiving animals in weekly! We have 4 new additions in just the past 2 weeks…. Booger (featured in the video below), Mama, Muttley, and Charlie. We can’t wait to share their stories and photos with you.
We are truly grateful for the generous grant from DDAF and cannot wait to share how these funds will provide a second chance to many. Please, reach out and thank the Doris Day Animal Foundation for their support and contributions!
Check out the adorable video of Booger, a new addition to the S.O.S. program, and his intake at the clinic. He has a very badly broken elbow that we are going to fix! Even with his injury he is one happy boy! Booger will require more than one surgery, if you would like to contribute to his medical care click here or donate through our website for Booger!
